Milan
Cosmopolitan, international and always one step ahead. No introduction is needed for the Milan of a thousand faces. The skyscraper district in Piazza Gae Aulenti will transport you into the future, while the historic heart of the city between the Duomo and Castello Sforzesco will reveal an unexpected side of the city. Your craving for art and culture will be satisfied by the must-see museums such as the Pinacoteca di Brera, the Cenacolo Vinciano and the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana. Leave room for some fun too: a shopping session in the best boutiques of the Fashion district and then immerse yourself in the “movida” of the lively Navigli with all their clubs and restaurants.
Monza
Everything you could want in the Brianza capital is concentrated along the pedestrian avenue that runs through the historic center: international brand stores and luxury boutiques alongside the historic stores where you can rediscover the authentic soul of Monzal. The Duomo is worth a visit for the treasure it holds: the Iron Crown. But the real gem is the immense Villa Reale, of the Savoy royal family, with its 700 apartments and set in one of the largest enclosed parks in Europe. So large that it houses the Temple of Speed, the Autodrome which every year, hosts the famous Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Bergamo
Bergamo has two souls. The Lower Town reveals itself to the visitor in a contemporary guise, here culture lovers can “meet” Botticelli, Tiziano and Raffaello at the Accademia Carrara, while the Sentierone satisfies those who cannot get enough shopping! Not to be missed is the ascent to Città Alta by funicular railway: a short journey through time with this ancient means of transport. The historic heart of Bergamo is on the hillside, with the Piazza Vecchia and its Campanone and the Duomo with the Colleoni Chapel. After savoring the historic beauty we recommend returning to Città Bassa on foot by walking along the UNESCO World Heritage Venetian walls.

Local food and wine
Any visit to the area would not be complete without trying the local cuisine. In our region, a good risotto rules: with luganega (sausage) in Monza or with saffron in Milan, and a must with ossobuco. And what about the cheeses: taleggio, stracchino and goat cheese from Montevecchia to name a few. Montevecchia with its terraced configuration cultivated with vineyards is also where Terre Lariane IGT wine is produced. For lovers of sparkling wine ( with “bollicine”) Franciacorte with its famous vineyards is only about an hours’ drive away, well worth a visit.
